The lateral canal reinforcement project spans 389 meters, passing through the rice paddy area along Fenggang Road in Damei Village, Zhubei City, Hsinchu County. With its picturesque scenery of mountains and waters, it's about 6 kilometers from the Touqian River estuary. The Maoerding Canal Main Line draws water from the Fengshan Creek weir at the foot of Fengshanqi. It is the second oldest canal in the Hsinchu area, following the Longen Canal. This canal irrigates sandy, easily drained farmland near the coast, benefiting an area of 70 hectares, which is also a key agricultural development zone in Zhubei City, Hsinchu County.
